Flaking Blue Enamel

I have owned the previous model WDEP9427F for about a year and it was purchased as part of a kitchen renovation. It has actually only been in service from November 2023 to July 2024. Large areas of the oven are flaking blue enamel and this is getting in the food we bake in the oven. Customer service said it was cosmetic damage and not covered by warranty. I told my guest that the blue enamel flakes in their cake was courtesy of LG Customer service.

After first time use of the oven the middle glass pannel had grease enter into it. There is not way to clean it. I have contacted LG service directly they are having a difficult time finding a service provider to come see/fix it. I have spent too much time on the phone with them. We got our oven in May. Very dissapointed.

I was so looking forward to having a new double oven The box wasnt damaged but the oven was and I think they knew it . The oven was not unboxed we did it and found the damaged bracket it cannot be installed. I was told we would be called in 24hrs NOPE we had to chase them after 2 days finally got an agent didnt know anything said it was sold out in 3 days we bought the 4th the 7th they do not have anymore of this model no date for a new one so I cancelled it buy elsewhere what a joke horrible customer service and no working oven and now I do not know if I want this model with the other reviews on problems others are having.

I was very excited about our double oven but we are now having problems with the bottom oven starting the door is open when it is clearly closed. This makes it where we cannot use the lower oven but the real problem is the awful customer service. Over 10 days after reporting no one has come out to repair or look at the appliance.

We replaced our old microwave + single oven with the LG Studio double oven. The cutout dimensions were spot on. We were able to modify our existing cabinet to fit the double oven just fine. It works great. We love all the features and the touchscreen interface plus app really add to the experience.

If you are the household which that has a stay at home that prepares all the meals but can burn water this is the oven for you. The automatic cook functions make the cooking process fool proof. Everyday I would get a call from the wife asking how to cook this or how to cook that. How long do I cook it for. I dont think this chicken is cooked. Now select what you cooking put in the thermometer and wham b thank you maam youre done. Install was easy and the oven looks great

We bought this LG wall oven as part of a remodeled kitchen in our new older home. I was so excited to be able to give her a double wall oven with all the bells and whistles. The most exciting part was having an oven size air fry feature. After using this four or five times with the air fry feature It did not work like an air fry oven. You turn it on you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before the fan actually starts circulating the air in the oven. Totally defeats the purpose of a quicker cook time. When you air fry it is said that you dont have to defrost items that you place in the oven. You can instantly start cooking because the air circulates but only the LG double wall oven does not. I even had a technician come out and check it out for me. Ive learned thetemperature is set and after a few minutes it reaches its desired temperature. After about 10 minutes the exhaust fan comes on and then 5 minutes later the air fry fan comes on. So youre looking anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes to get to the air fry feature. Dont get me wrong its a beautiful oven but totally disappointed especially at this price

LG Double oven with steam assist

My9428 1/20/2023

Have had this oven for only one month so we are still exploring its varied functions. Love the style both in and outside and the control panel as well. Made a standing rib roast that was thoroughly enjoyed. Did one steam assist bread that came out nice but need more attempts to be fully satisfied with this function. Only disappointments so far is the soft close doors which fail to close completely on their own. Wonder if I need to call for service b/c of this issue. Lastly but importantly not happy the price dropped several hundred dollars a week or so after we purchased it.
