This product is absoletly horrible. Im on my 2nd one and all of a sudden the audio cuts out every few minutes. I no longer can trust LG for any electronics ever again.

Worked good at first and the sound was great. Unfortunately the subwoofer stopped connecting and regardless of all the troubleshooting in the world and even contacting customer service it never worked again and was never offered a replacement. Was just told to take it to a shop and get it fixed at my expense. Paid a lot for this item and cant really keep spending money on fixing it especially when the fix is almost as much as getting a new one

Product was great for all but 1 year and a half. Purchased a 65 inch LG nano cell TV with an LG soundbar to match in May of 22.. One day all of a sudden the soundbar went into DEMO mode randomly that was the beginning of the end. Watched and read numerous tutorials had pointless trouble shoot conversations with LG tech/customer support that lead to no resolution. Soundbar either immediately or randomly goes into DEMO mode plays the same annoying generic song and stops playing whats on the TV. LG absolutely no help wants me to bring to a repair facility and pay for repairs or purchase new sound bar.

LG customer service is absolutely awful and I wouldnt recommend there products to anyone. I bought my sound bar about two years ago and within the first year the subwoofer stopped working completely. I ignored that and kept using just the sound bar. Earlier this year the sound bar itself started to act up. Within 10 minutes of using it each time the sound would drop dramatically. We would tuen it off and tuen it back on and it would work for all of 10 minutes and the sound would drop dramatically again. Turning the volume up more did not help the sound. When I reached out to LG they would not replace the sound bar because it has been over a year since I purchased it. I only had it for two years and the whole system basically stopped working. After doing research I found that it is very common for this model to have these issues. So LG basically made a product that has issues and wont help the customer by replacing it. LG does not stand by their products and obviously dont care that they sell defective products to their customers. I will never buy another LG product after what I experienced with this sound bar and customer service.

I bought this 3 years ago and the subwoofer failed twice. The second time it was out of warranty and they did replace it so that was nice but now we are on year 3 and the main unit failed. I called LG support and they said I can try a new power supply so now I am waiting for that to come in. I only gave 2 stars since they customer service reps were friendly.

I have had this sound bar for 2 years and how the sound level and quality drops by 1/2 at any time regardless of input. I have to turn it off and on which resets it. I will look into having it repaired but I doubt that will be successful at a reasonable cost.

I had this sound bar about 2 years and it is no longer a fully functioning unit. The subwoofer stopped working rendering the speaker system useless. I hope they work on improving the quality of their audio products and stop making disposable speakers that arent worth the investment.

I have a similar issue to others. The volume works fine for 30ish minutes and then suddenly drops out. The only way to fix the issue is to turn off the soundbar and turn it back on.
Its incredibly frustrating that this happens and LG has no way of actually fixing the problem and since these issues only happen outside of the warranty window they are not responsible. Hopefully they understand who will be responsible when people stop buying their things and they eventually go out of business.

I bought this over two years ago and noticed the subwoofer wasnt working. There is no green light on it the back and pairing isnt changing anything. Tried unplugging both and waiting 5 minutes. Still no change. I have trust lg products and have multiple lg products. This is the worse one I have owned because it didnt last Waste of money if it doesnt last

Great soundbar until LG pushes an automatic software update that fries the subwoofer. LG will take no responsibility and expects you to fix it or purchase an entirely new system. Seems like some kind of scam theyre running. DO NOT PURCHASE if you expect this to last longer than 2 years.

I wish I could give and extremely poor rating. Stay away from this system. . Paired the LG TV all was fine. 3 months later I paired to my phone and the subwoofer dies. The sub still has a solid green light indicating that it is paired to the sound bar but yet there no sound. Ive tried all the so called fixes found on the internet but with no success. I have LG products everywhere in my home but this item is headed for the dumpster.

In exactly the same situation as many who purchased this sound bar/sub combo. I purchased mine December 9th of 2020. Initially the sound bar/sub connection would drop and have to be reset. Last month the sub died and will not even power up. Called customer server they couldnt do anything for me stating the warranty. Ive been a long LG customer and never had any problems with any of their products until this purchase. Very disappointed to say the least.

When I first hooked up worked great then started having subwoofer connection issues had to keep hard reset connection thought its a hassle but whatever then it just kept getting worse and worse I did research online for the issue if I would have known this was issue I would have bought something else.

Subwoofer constantly disconnects have to do hard resets constantly should have returned it sooner past return date should have warranty sooner. I dont I just think it should work seemlessly. Now the subwoofer doesnt turn on at all. So I left with a tin sounding sound bar. Wish I would have known sooner I would have went with something else.

This is the second time I am buying this same device to use it with my LG OLED and after using it for a little over a year it started causing the same exact issues as the previous one: the sound suddenly drops after 30 minutes and of use and I have to power off the TV and back to make it work again.

Bought this Soundbar for Christmas 2 years ago. It sounded decent and was a great value at the time. Now I know why sun is completely fried after 2 years. Wont buy LG again. Sad cause my LG tv is great. But that will be replaced with another brand when it dies.

I bought this sound bar with subwoofer 2 years ago assuming it would last at the least 5 years. I am hard of hearing and bought the unit with subwoofer to enhance tv viewing for me. Unfortunately a couple months ago I realized the subwoofer wasnt working no green or red light in the back of the unit. After multiple attempts to reconnect I reached out to LG customer support for assistance on 2 occasions. They ended up telling me I should have purchased an extended warranty. Customer support was not helpful. The outside technician they referred me to was rude and not helpful. I didnt purchase an extended warranty because I trusted LG to make a product that would last longer than 2 years. Now I am left with a working sound bar only.

Very shortly after the warranty expired the subwoofer Sbn5B-W ceased working. I have a technicians diploma so I investigated. A power supply failure became obvious as the cause. Looking for a schematic I found the discussion forums were alive with users having issues that appear to be identical to mine. An email to the president has yielded no results as yet. No schematic is available LG recommends replacement of the entire EBR89625801 board which appears to be common throughout the entire series of LG sound bar subwoofers. After I complete this review I intend to see if I can get a replacement power supply/amplifier board from LG customer service.

In about 18 months the subwoofer stopped working. Have continuously been trying to reset the system but no luck. Unfortunately going to have to buy a whole new system as the cost of repair is not practical. Disappointing.

Ive now been through two of these. The subwoofer on this model stopped working. I returned it for a new one and the subwoofer on the new one stopped working as well I tried to get my money back but LG wont return my money. Instead they fixed it and gave it to back to me. I fought to get a refund and they refused. Save your money and go with a different company

LG Soundbar woofer stop working within two years. The unit has no power going to it. The unit was hardley used like new and is out of the Mfg warranty. Its not worth the money LG charges to fix. Garbage unit there is no reason this should

I bought this less than 2 years ago and after limited use the subwoofer failed. LG was no help offering only to repair it at my cost if I shipped it back. There are many reviews of subwoofer problems. Ill spend my money on another brand rather than on getting this repaired

I bought the sound bar with my 65 GX tv in April21 and by August 22 the subwoofer stopped working. The power light doesnt come on. LG phone tech did what he could but its dead. Its also concerning how little support there is for this product. I live in Chicago area too.

Bought a 3.1 LG Soundbar about a year ago and paired it to my LG TV. Fantastic sound and worked liked a charm until the sub woofer died. Inexplicable but would not power up. Got on the phone with a very friendly customer service rep who agreed it needed to be sent back/repaired. She sent me a FedEx label and boxing materials. I then sent the entire unit back to LG. 10 days later I received it back and hooked it back up to my TV and everything works like a charm. I think they actually just replaced the Sub which I was happy with.

Lasted just under 2 years before the subwoofer died. Read online and see that hundreds of people had the same issue after a firmware update pushed out by LG. Customer service would not do anything but recommend taking it to one of their service centers to pay $150+ to repair.

Same as every one else was great until the subwoofer died after less than two years of limited use. Very disappointing. Obviously a systemic design or manufacturing issue. LG should provide an extended warranty or recall this product. Will not consider LG products in the future.

Im giving this a terrible review because the subwoofer does not will not and can not connect. I have gone through all of the steps to fix this that are both online and through LGs customer service with no results. No there is not light on the subwoofer at all and it will not turn on.
They said that my product was out of warranty and gave me the number of a repairman lol. Kill me. What is the point of this?
You cant stand by your product and instead send me to a 3rd party to get it fixed? The cost of the fix is more than the unit is worth.
Sound quality was overall poor and we are in a row home so you are very close to the system. The major gripe of course is the lack of connection on the subwoofer but overall the product is bad. Avoid.
