Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. LG wall oven self clean issues.

We have had hight regards for our LG wall oven until last week. After 7 years of ownership we tried to use the self clean feature before that we had always used the easy clean feature. During a 3 hour self clean the unit shut itself down after about 2 hours with no display and with the unit door locked. After multiple calls to LG chats bots and calls to place of purchase I got the name of a repairman that came was able to unlock the door and we were able to pull the unit from the wall. Based on his estimate the unit had reached around 700 degrees burnt out 2 fuses one for the door the other temp control as well as burning out the 2 interior lights. Needless to say we will not be using self clean again

Defective self clean

Bought this oven a couple of years ago but had never used the self clean. Used it and it got so hot that it burned out control panel and door lock. Now having to replace both for over $500 and LG will not cover anything. The self clean had to have been defective from the start Wish I had never self cleaned.

I installed the 2 days before Thanksgiving due to old oven going out. This oven has a lot of unnecessary functions and the bottom trim does not cover the underneath footing. Additionally once preheat temperature is reached oven light goes on and off five times along with a control panel noise tone. That to me along with the lengthy oven cooling fan also make this oven two stars.

I bought an LG range almost a year ago. From the time I entered the storeLowes I was told I would be getting an excellent product and just how it worked. Since that time I have had to return the first product and now am on my second. This time no one seems to wanna help. I loved LG products until now. It should be that when you buy something and an associate tells you it will do this or that and it doesnt you should get your money back or the product should be exchanged. Between LG and Lowes I am totally dissatisfied having purchased 3 major appliances this year.

Ease of use.

This microwave was purchased over a month ago. We usually use microwaves to defrost and reheat. This one has more options than the microwave we used to have. It works great and I love the grey interior. Doesnt show the spattering like the white ones do. Yes we recommend.

Oven that provides all the whistles and bells

So far so good. Bought this at Best Buy last month because of the good reviews price and very low problems reported with the product. Its a learning curve as we have never had an oven that also uses convection settings. We also like that you can also use the traditional method of baking and not use convection. Very easy instructions that are provided with the oven make using the oven easy. We also like that the oven has a proof setting as we bake a lot of bread. We are very happy so far with our oven.
