Have had this unit for about 5 years now and it works as well as the day I bought it. I live in central Texas and it gets hot here. HOT. This baby cools 4 big rooms with 10 ceilings and no external wall insulation. Temp stays around 70 degrees F. Super comfortable. And my electric bill is substantially less than with the older technology. And I love the remote access to controls via cellular and the Thin Q app. Whats not to like? Highly recommend.

Purchased this Air conditioner 2 years ago the Fan system is poor It wont push the Air into the room I have had to run a High speed fan In front of the Unit to cool the room it still had problems keeping the room cool in heats above 95 and now it has completely stopped working so I had to buy another brand of A/C today . hopefully I can get it working again for modest cost so OI can sell it to recoop some of my lost revenue.

We bought this ac less than 9mths ago. It work wonderful for 8mths and then stopped working. We have been waiting for a part for over 3 weeks. Customer service is appalling. Lie after lie. I would never recommend an LG product to anyone much less purchase another LG product.

Great AC while It lasted.

The AC was great for the time I had it. Wifi and the app worked great to let me cool the room down while on my way home from a long trip and it did well to cool the space. Around 2 years in I got an error code showing fan motor issues. Unfortunately the part is backordered everywhere and I could not subject my family to no AC in Texas for a week or more so was forced to replace the AC. I may repair it later as it is a great AC.

I bought this at the beginning of the hot season. I went with the size recommended for the square footage of my home. It required the special plug. I already had that so I was all set. I think the unit works too good. Its rarely on for more than a couple of hours. No need to run all day on max like my last unit. The timer is set daily and I keep it on the energy saver mode. Well worth the price.

This air conditioner is just perfect for us. Its whisper quiet and very efficient. Weve used the timer several times and always come home to a cool house. Its cooling a wide-open first floor on the economy setting. Havent learned how us use the feature that allows you to control it with your phone but the grandkids are going to help us with that. Problems and Customer Service Lacking

I bought this to replace an 18000 btu unit from Frigidaire. It is so much quieter plus it cools faster. We also use it to cool 2 different rooms. The 4 way directional airflow works so much better than the Frigidaire. We can feel the cool air on the sofa in the living room and in the kitchen which are in completely different directions. Its also a very modern attractive unit. The ThinIQ app is also great being able to control the unit from your phone including starting it remotely in hot weather is awesome. Love this unit.

Stopped working within a year.

We bought this air conditioner last May and had it installed professionally. It worked great all last summer. When I went to turn it on the spring it didnt work at all. LG is unable to send a repair person out. Im waiting to hear back about a warranty replacement. I have a different LG air conditioner that has worked fine for years so I wouldve expected this one to be the same.

Is unpredictable has a mind of its own.

The thermostat does not work properly. When set below 77 the thermostat does not cut off whe temperature in room is reached. It will keep cooling room down to under 70 when set at 76 75 74 etc. When set at 77 78 or 79 it allows room to get up to over 80 before turning compressor on. You either freeze or sweat no comfortable temperature unless turn it on and off yourself.

I bought this about a month ago installed it and used it twice so far. We replaced a 18kBTU frigidare window unit with this one. It is so quiet except for the sound of the air you dont know its on. Starts up very slowly but is very powerful. I live in a bilevel and you can feel the cool air downstairs. Very please with the AC.

WICKED quiet window A/C.

Very quiet compared to our previous window A/C. This unit is quite a bit heavier than our previous unit with the same BTUs. Normally I would install a unit like this in 2 pieces case first and unit second but installed both at once since it was new and in a box.
