This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. Have spent as much money working on it as it costs. The warranty on it is useless. I have always thought highly of whirlpool products but will not buy another product with their name on it. Run as fast as you can from this product

Hate it - and ALL new machines!

Have had this machine for just over a year now. Hate, hate, hate the way the new machines work where they don't allow you to choose your own water level, adding something after you start it is a pain, and it takes FOREVER to run a load of wash.Our old machine did a load in about 30-35 minutes. This one does no load in less than an hour, and usually takes a good deal longer - a real time waster. Apparently electricity is cheaper than water when it comes to efficiency.On the bright side, it does a fine job of cleaning clothes. I don't notice that it does any better than our old machine, but it's certainly no worse either.Another gripe is that you cannot choose your own spin cycle - they are embedded in the definitions of the cycles - and sometimes in ways that don't make sense. While I could see a slow spin for a delicate load, it seems out of place in most other types of loads. I actually had to copy a page from the manual that explains the different cycles and how they work and even after a year, I STILL have to refer to it every time a run a load of wash to figure out how to get the best combination of water temp, spin cycle, etc.The problem is that all of the things I hate about this machine are pretty much the same with all new machines, so there are not any better choices out there.Bottom line is given the way machines work in general these days, this is not a bad machine. In fact, if not for the removal of the flexible selections of water and spin cycles, I would say it's actually quite a good machine. But that doesn't keep me from cursing it every time I have to use it. Change is difficult! :-)

I love this machine. It is so easy to use. I had to replace an older whirlpool machine that had a problem so instead of fixing it I wanted a new one. I wanted another whirlpool, since the first one had been such a good machine and I love this one even more.

We bought this when our 20 year old whirlpool washer died a few weeks ago. It is an amazing machine. We loved how the old one cleaned but the new one does even better and is much quieter. We definitely are a whirlpool family!

I purchased this washer two months ago when we moved into our new home. We had previously had whirpool washer that gave us 15 years of great service so it was a no brainer that I would again choose Whirlpool. Love the idea of soap, clothes, fabric softner and push a button and the machine does the rest!

We bought this to replace our 12 year old Whirlpool that wouldn't spin dependably anymore. Love this one. It is simple but has every feature you would want. It seems very efficient--I like that it determines how much water to use. Clothes come out clean and the spin cycle is phenomenal! Reduces dry time. The only negative is that the machine is a bit noisy and takes some getting used to.

I bought this washer about a month ago and it is AWESOME. I have used whirlpool appliances for may years and have always bee happy with their quality.I wasn't sure how I would like this washer since it was like a front loader only with the lid on top, but I have found it to be very efficient, and glad I purchased it. I've had this washing machine for about a month. I've done many loads of laundry, and haven't had any issues. I really like the agitator on this model better than some of the newer HE machines that don't have agitators. My clothes have come out clean as expected every time. No complaints at all, this is a very good machine.

We are pleased with our new washing machine. It is very quiet and does a good job . The only thing I would have changed is this: being able to run water in the machine and put the detergent in before putting the clothes in. We have to put the clothes in, add detergent on top of the clothes, close the lid and turn on machine at which time the lid locks. Other than that we are pleased with our new washer.

With five growing boys, we had an old whirlpool top load handed down from my Grandma, it worked for another 12 years and then we bought a fancy front load from another manufacturer and 4 years later it rumbled out of service. The wife said get another Whirlpool, no need for bells and whistles. Low and behold three months of whiter whites and brighter colors, she is smitten. We look forward to another 25 years!

I am so disappointed with this machine. I went from a standard top loader several months ago; and have grown to hate this machine. Once you start, the top locks, so you can't easily add or rearrange items. I just now wanted to soak a shirt overnight, then add more items tomorrow morning. The machine won't just fill and sit. It drained out an entire tub full of water after a few minutes of soaking. The only way that I could stop the draining was to unplug the machine. I plugged it back in a few minutes later and it started draining out again. This washer has a mind of its own, and apparently isn't compatible with mine.

This very quiet model kicks the dirt out of all types of clothes. I even felt safe to wash my very delicate clothing and the results were beautiful. I didn't even think I could afford a new machine. But with this model you get it all.

I bought this Washer about two moths ago for our new house and its been running for about a month now. I really like all the options it provides. My clothes are very clean. The user manual was very detailed.Only thing Im not crazy about it the locking lid and Auto Sensing, but it seems they are all that way now. It can still be unlocked during a cycle. The auto sensing seems to take awhile however I only noticed it during the first wash because I wanted to make sure everything was up and running. Now I just load the clothes, add soap and fabric softener and walk away.

This is the perfect washer! It has everything I need and is large enough to accommodate 3 growing, not quite teenage boys, that still use their sleeve as a napkin and tissue. Who knew a washer could do so much. This washer does an amazing job and I just love all the features and settings it has.The only thing I would change is the ability to add water prior to clothes being added but I get that for the sensor to work the cant be so I am just getting used to it.

I bought this washer a month ago. It seems to do a good job cleaning clothes. There are a couple things I would like different. When the washer comes on no water starts to fill, used to rinse the liquid soap cap, can't now. There are no directions in manual on settings vs load size.

I bought this unit a month ago. It was rated number one by Consumer Reports. And true to form consumer reports was correct. I'm very happy with this units performance. The only one negative I could say about this unit is that it does not have an alerting system when the wash is completed. Other than that one thing I would recommend this washer to anyone.

I think this model has been discontinued. I bought it at a bargain price in a clearance sale. It works very well and has just enough settings. Some washers have dozens of settings that no one uses; this washer is simple to use.

This machine does a great job of cleaning the clothes but it is very noisy with a lot of clicks and grinding noises. I have had one issue of clothes getting stuck under the agitator and was really worried that I would end up ripping the items to get them out. This happened twice so far. Purchased 7/4/2015.

Just moved into new home after traveling around in a travel trailer for a year or so. Than did laundry in RV parks, not the best machines as most of them old. This new washer is so easy to use it is almost funny. Even an old man can use it, its that simple. It is very economical and quiet. Saves me a lot on water as it senses the water it needs to wash that load.

Washer does an excellent job. Clothes are super-clean. It makes odd noises (not loud) and once you get used to it, you do not notice. Only criticism is that the regular wash cycle is a bit long.
