Does not seem to clean as well as my old machine from 2006, also the digital controls are finicky, often showing an error code requiring a complete shutdown and restart. I'm not happy with the door lid locking mechanism.

This is by far the best washer I have ever owned. Well made, simple to operate and my clothes have never been cleaner. I had a 4 year old machine with a so many different cycles it was crazy and it had been repaired 4 times already.This washer has just the cycles I need, doing laundry isn't rocket science. Very basic, no fancy un-needed options. Easy to operate. Very quite, no vibrations when in spin mode. Clothes, blankets, towels and linens come out squeaky clean. I wish I would have bought one years ago. Price tag is high, but now I understand why, and it's worth it for the long run. My Maytag only lasted 7 years and was a nightmare to operate. Had to watch it during spin mode, was very unstable. Speed Queen keep up the good work, no need to cut corners to make a profit like the other washer machine companies have done over the years.

The speed queen washer came to us new out of the box. I had to wait to find a service technician to come to our location. I had 2 different service technicians out and had to pay $50 ea time they came. The second one found the issue with the lid lock that one of the wires in the wiring harness was not completely connected to the circuit it was just hanging. It took him 2 1/2 hrs to find it as it wasn't a normal issue. It is working fine now but I was without a washer for over 1 week after it was delivered.

Replaced both my washer/dryer from 1998. Washer was starting to leak so it was definitely time to replace. Replaced dryer that was still working as well to match the washer. My new washer/dryer are very quiet and easy to operate. Both will definitely outlast me (lol) and my old ones didn't owe me a "cent".

My Speed Queen washer has been great so far. Recommended by our appliance repair friend as a good (few issues) washer. I definitely enjoy how quiet it is,but have to admit that there is a short amount of time where it seems louder than I expected. I believe it happens when the spin cycle speeds up. Seems to get or clothes clean, but we are a retired couple who don't have dirt or grass stains to deal with. Would recommend buying one.

Don't let the "small capacity" fool you. I washed my california king quilt in it and it fit FINE and it dried in less than 40 minutes with the matching dryer. Clothes have never been cleaner. Will never NOT have a SQ! They are amazing!

For years I assumed my dryer was horrible. Typically took two cycles to dry, the equivalent of two hours. Since switching my washer to speed queen, i've notice how much better it is at spinning my clothes. So my clothes arent as wet when they come out of the washer. This washing machine checks all of the boxes. It is nice looking, easy to use, offers several options for variable sized loads, water temperatures, degree of soil in a given load, and automatically uses the appropriate amount of water for each load. It is very quiet - I have to set the timer on my phone as a reminder to put items in the dryer. Most importantly, items come out clean. It does a great job all around and I am very happy to have it!

I used to think all the talk about how good SpeedQueen washers were was just that, talk. Well, I have been proven wrong. Having had two washers from 2 different brands have multiple issues that the repairmen could not fix, we finally bit the bullet and purchased a SpeedQueen, upon the recommendation from 2 different repairmen.
