Very pleased with this air conditioner. It cools my 750 sq foot first floor easily and the App is actually quite good - which you can't say for a lot of smart device apps. The controls are good and its nice to set a specific target temperature. Just be aware of the weight! All AC's of this BTU will be heavy though.

I had a 12000btu Frigidaire AC in my livingroom window for over 15 years. I was used every day, all day in the summer and finally it croaked. I considered getting a Mini-Split to replace it, but that would have cost me about $2000. I have a friend who bought the present Frigidaire unit at Wayfair on sale for $275 (normally about $375). However, he didn't measure right and it didn't fit. He would have had to pay shipping to return it even though it was brand new and never even turned on. Thus he offered it to me for $260. I measured it and it was almost exactly the same dimensions as mine that broke. It is quieter and more efficient than my old AC unit. I also setup the WIFI control on it. However, the instructions were all wrong and I struggled to figure out how to set it up.

WIFI and Remote Problems

I just bought this unit. I see from the reviews that many people (most) have trouble with the remote and making the WIFI work. I had the same problems an was going to call customer service, but the wait was too long. I figured out how to fix both.1. The Remote. Problem is battery contact, place a thick piece of paper on the bottom of the battery as you slide in the battery holder so it touches the top contact.2. WIFI. The instructions are all wrong. On Android, first download the Frigidaire app. and run it. Then go to settings WIFI, you will need the passkey of your router. Press WIFI button on AC unit for about five seconds, press it a second time for about 15 seconds until it beeps twice and after a few more seconds the WIFI light will go on. Now the AC unit SSID will appear on your phone. You will have to put in the router passkey. It should then synch.

This is my second one of these window units. The first one did a great job and lasted for years. It ran nonstop for 8 months or of the year and never gave an ounce of problems. Cleaned the filters regularly and the coil every season and it did great. That's why I bought the second one. If installed correctly, you will be pleased.

It was easy to connect to our home'd wi-fi and the Frigidaire App. I was not able to figure out connecting it to our Alexa, which was one of the reasons I selected this A/C was the description said it was compatible with Alexa.

Very good at cooling down our living room, kitchen and you can even feel it make it's way into the bedrooms. I love being able to control it on my phone. It was a little confusing to set up but it works great now. App gives a temperature of the room, on ECO it can cool the room down to 60° in less than 10 minutes. It's not too noisy, it's not whisper quiet I don't mind the sound it makes.

I was searching for a window unit when the central air unit expired and after searching many models, reviews, and prices, there was only one choice. After having it some time we ended up buying then for all the rooms in the house needed. In this day and age it's seldom anyone goes with brand loyalty and I'm responsible for this as well, but these have proven to be great units. Except on the big 220 unit, the remote/auto temp controller the climate thing has never worked.

AC unit works great. Cools down our place really well. The only drawback was the remote control was dead upon arrival (didn't work). However the Frigidaire app is great, and we haven't ever needed the remote.
