Works well, some features could improve functionality

Works well so far installed as a through wall ac/heat unit in a small carriage house. One downside is that when running as a heater the fan cannot be set to auto and is always running on low. Would be nice to be able to have the fan run on medium or high with heat or for it to automatically shut off when the desired temperature is reached.

My company put in 3 of these units, when I was moved upstairs to this location, this 1st thing I found this winter was the unit was full of Mold. When winter came I found that the unit blows so much cold air when it starts up that you can't sit near the unit and the temperature in the run fluctuates all day.

This is the 2nd unit we have purchased for my small office. Has AC and heat and perfect for any time of year. When the 1st one aged out, we definitely wanted to replace it with the same brand. As we knew we could count on it. Over the years we were able to replace certain parts that were inexpensive. However, the unit finally needed major repairs and we wanted to get a new one with a warranty.

Perfect for My space

The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is that the directional aspect of the vents isn't quite what I'd like. Instead of using precious window space we installed this high on the wall to keep it up out the way. The vents go left & right, and up or straight out so it cannot be pointed down into the room. I'm using it in an 8' x 12' "She Shed" that is my crafting space. I need all the natural light from the window and all the wall space for cabinets for tools etc. We will probably be adding a ceiling fan to bring the heat down or to stir the cool air better. We will see as we get the more drastic temps of true winter or a Texas Summer.

Stopped heating after 2 days

Frustrated and ignir 12/19/2020

We installed the unit and it was working the first night but has stopped heating. I unplugged the unit and waited and restarted it and it worked a day but stopped again. Called support and feel like they put me off. The studio now is 51 degrees and the unit is set at 73. The studio is 166 sq feet and when it was 37 degrees outside it was 80 inside. Now it™€™s 51 degrees inside and 30 outside and heater is set at 80. They told me to give it 3 more days wait over the weekend and call Monday. 2 friends recommended this unit and theirs is set at 72 and it is 72 in their studios.

Delivery was on time. Appliance was mounted and installed into the wall, incurred contractor expenses to install. Appliance functioned as advertised, however temperature led readout was not functioning. After reporting disfunction to Amazon they directed me to Frigidaire, who wanted to replace the entire appliance. I would have to incur more expenses to hire contractors to remove old and install the new appliance. This solution was not acceptable.

Efficient Window Unit

We bought this for our bonus room upstairs. Because that room gets so hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. It's fairly quiet when running. It cools within minutes. Now it's not a heater, it supplements heat. So, it'll take the chill out of the room and make it more comfortable. This is a big unit, so I would suggest getting two brackets to hold it up outside because it is so heavy. And we also got it on sale, which was a plus.

(Tabs to open window interfered with trim on air conditioner; required some Exacto-knife work, but when finished it fit perfectly.)
