i purchaced my new 25,000 btu air conditioner on the 24 of June and got it installed on the 27th. I has not cooled my house to the temperature it is set to on the air conditioner. I had my old Friedrich air conditioner set to 69 all summer and it was freezing until it stopped working. This new 25,000 but air conditioner is set to 66 degrees F and it is 72 degrees in my house. I am very dis satisfied with this produce and especially with the rude customer service.

Bought it, installed it and it did not work. Called frigidaire and they have me the name of their repair person. Lol they came in said it's not working, but we don't work on window air conditioners. Have spent 3 weeks in the heat trying to get this resolved. Customer service is very bad. Finally 1 month later they are sending a debit card for the amount of the air conditioner but not the 50.00 I paid in taxes.

Holy cold air. You want cold air this unit delivers it. It installs easily runs, quietly and it moves a lot of air. Outstanding warranty too, which is nice in the long run. It sounds like a sales pitch but when you buy an air conditioner from a company that makes toasters you get what you get, but when you buy an air conditioner from a company that make refrigeration units, its even in their name Frigid Air with an E. For Excellence I guess. You buy an air conditioner from the people that make airconditioners, you get good air conditioners. I wouldnt buy a toaster from them, but AC unit is no joke its the real deal.

Bought it about a year ago, I cools great and runs great had no problem with that part. I clean the filter regularly but there is a smell that makes my sinus hurt. There is no way to drain the water that collects in the unit and it now has mold in the water causing it to smell every time it's on.

This is the second unit of this model I have purchased. The first lasted 12 YEARS! It ran 24/7 even in the winter. We live in southern Georgia and not only is it hot but humid as well. My wife had a medical condition that made her feel hot all the time. I bought this unit in hopes that it would make her more comfortable. It did, it was amazing. After using it for 12 YEARS the cord/reset button stopped operating and I was afraid to use it. I got the information from the unit called Amazon and bought a new one (just some small cosmetic changes) this unit works better than the old one if that's possible! Very happy with the unit, the Frigidaire company and people in general. I would recommend that anyone interested in and air conditioning unit look at this unit and others that Frigidaire makes. You will definitely get the quality be and value for your money. These are the the kind of products that made America great, and the quality standards we should get back to. Anyone in need of any appliance should look to Frigidaire first. Get it right the first time!

Great Performing Wall AC

This 25K BTU FFRE2533U2 was purchased as a replacement for a 20 year old Fridaire 18K BTU installed through wall on second floor of a 1800sq ft high ranch. The new 25k is very close to the same dimensions as the 18k so I had hoped that I could use the existing wall enclosure and simply slide out the old and slide in the new but the new enclosure appeared to have more open louver space so I didn't want to hamper the ventilation of the new unit. Replacing the wall enclosure was very quick with no framing required. I was also able to tuck away the excess cord in the protruding chin of the faceplate. Despite the increase in BTUs the new unit was slightly lighter but remains a 2 person lift unless you have mechanical lift. The unit performs much better than it's predecessor while being much quieter. The new remote with it's remote thermostat is a real convenient way to save energy while providing the level of cooling you need. The unit adequately cools the whole second floor and all 4 rooms as well as part of the lower first floor. I hope the unit gives me 20 years like the 18k did. I do wish it had connectivity to mobile as that should be standard with ALL appliances these days. I've tried to add a photo 3 times and won't try a 4th Frigidaire runs an antiquated website.. is this a tech pattern?

First unit had manufacture flaw on condenser spent hours on the phone waiting for a customer service person.Then she said that she would have a service person look at it. No one services these units in our area. This took several more long phone calls to find out that I had to return the unit to the place of purchase. This could have been done on the first contact with customer service. Second unit works great!

As far as cooling the house this is AMAZING but when the compressor kicks on it sounds like a jet engine and it's very loud so much so it scares my cat. The guy at the store said this would be quieter than my old one and this isn't the case. I'm hoping maybe as it "breaks in" it will become quieter but for right now this is very loud. I don't know how to tell the difference between what is "normal" loud and if something is wrong with this? Not sure what to do now that it's installed in the window.
