My wife and I a very pleased with this a/c. The installation was simple. Various foam insulations, with instructions on where to place them. Super quiet when running on high. Multiple directions for air flow. The room cooled off in minutes.

I've had my unit for over 18 months. I just love it. It does the job during the time of year when I need it. Frigidaire also has a very good warranty policy. Frigidaire - 10,000 BTU MONSTER

This Unit is a Monster. Cools Dining Room and Living Room for a combined area of 450 sq. ft., with 8ft ceilings very well. We have another unit working approximately the same area on the other side of the house in the Master Bedroom and Kitchen when we leave the Master Bedroom door open. Easy to clean. I also bought 6 Quartz Heaters for the winter seasons for a combined cost of $2,400. I all brought these units as alternative to a "Green" AC Unit with Heat Pump quoted at $41,000 Installed (Get The Heck Outta Here). Instead of that type of money, I can quite easily install and remove these units seasonally. I have other Frigidaire - 10,000 BTU Units that I brought in the past. After cleaning, they are still in service.

The Quality I Expect -- So Far

I purchased the unit at the end of the summer so haven't used it much. So far it performs at the high caliber that I've come to expect from Frigidaire window a/c units. The 5,000 BTU unit that this is replacing did an amazing job of cooling/drying the air given its smaller capacity and very large space (rooms open into one another/no doors) but this unit will be more efficient. It's a bit loud at the higher fan speeds, but I've never had an affordable window a/c unit that isn't.

This air conditioner does a great job cooling my 400 square feet apartment. It reaches all the rooms and I am very happy with it. The only thing is I do feel like it™€™s a bit loud. Not terrible, but even on the low setting it makes quite a bit of noise. Just something to be aware of!

I am greatly happy with this unit. It is able to cool off my whole apartment with the assistant of a box fan. I previously owned a fridgeaire. It lasted 12 yrs. Hopefully this one will give me alot of years also. I did recommend this one to my mothers and she also purchased one. Only hers was a 8000 btu. I will differently spread the recommendation to others.

What a great unit. My old Sharp 8,000 BTU unit drew 8 amps, this one draws 6.5 amps. Good efficiency. Like the remote sensor feature since my unit is in an alcove window and the rest of the room is warmer. Sleep mode is great also. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

This air conditioner was installed in July 2021. It was not used until September of 2021. Over this past weekend I tested it for the approaching summer season and it is NOT cooling. The fan is operative but the cooling component is not working. I™€™m very disappointed. I will be calling about the warranty options tomorrow.

Unit is way too loud and disturbing. Was difficult to fit in window, wish it had a lower speed setting so maybe it wouldn't sound like a jet engine coming through the window. Overall dissatisfied and would not recommend, would not buy another Frigidaire window ac unit. I feel it should be replaced with a better quieter one by Frigidaire. Not a satisfied customer.

I purchased this air on June 2 and it is now September and the buttons that control the air conditioner do not work, nor does the controller, somehow I got it to turn on and off using the reset and test button whihc is not good and I am afraid of it starting a fire. I have sent an email to the contact us link about 2-3 weeks ago AND STILL NOTHING!!! Everytime I try to call the wait time is always over 20 min long, this is ridiculous to pay close to 300.00 and nothing is being done.

I purchased the 10,000 btu from BJs back in July when we had the heat wave for a 600 square foot apartment. I have not been disappointed with the performance at all! My best friend had said frigidaire was a good brand because they made refrigerator appliances. Expert of refrigerator appliances manufacturing ac units was a good enough argument to me and I am well pleased. I placed it on the lowest setting and went to bed not knowing how cold this thing really gets. I woke up in my back bedroom freezing. It cools better than central air. So, keep it comfortably set on 69 -70 degreees and its great. And the savings! Let me tell I was worried because I had never used these before. First purchase ever. My electric bill is normally high running central air and I never get this type of cool air without paying a $150 plus monthly but my electric bill was $55. I run my ac unit 24/7. I may switch it at night to fan for a few hours then back to cool. Easy to clean. No dripping from condensation. At 62 degrees (lowest setting) a little dripping from condensation (2-3 tablespoons max). All the dripping it may do is otherwise out the window and I don't notice it at all. It's in my living room window and I don't think its loud. It's a tolerable hum. It does disturb me watching TV, talking on the phone, studying or while I'm sleeping. I prefer it over a portable because it saves space, drains outside and vents fresh air in. The portable leaves a must swell where you have to collect the condensation in a bucket and it is a lot of water that drains from the portable. They don't vent fresh air if you have one hose and take up space.The only disadvantage of my window unit is needing someone to pull it out if we have bad weather (hurricane, tornado). It's been fine to have in the window when it rains. I've bought more insulation than what came with the kit because my window is wider than the expanders. I would like frigidaire to make a u-shape window ac unit like their competitors. I wouldn't purchase their competitors though. My friend had bought a Midea and another brand not a frigidaire and spent more money than me and doesn't get the same quality. His Midea is set for the coolest setting and you can barely tell it's on. The other brand is so loud he doesn't run it. It just sounds like ice peices blowing around. I am so glad for my purchase. I he purchased his after he seen mine. He didn't wait for me to go with him and overspent on below quality brands. I recommend frigidaire to everyone. I bought the warranty too. You have to invest in quality and to get the most out of your purchases. It was well worth it! Thank you Frigidaire!
