I bought Frigidaire - 250 Sq. Ft. Window Air Conditioner - White Model:FFRA0622U1 on June 29, 2019 from Bestbuy. To have so that when my other one stopped working (It was 21 years old) I would be ready with a new one. It so happened that my old one didn't stop working until July 24 of this year. So I finally opened up the box to install the new one. To my surprise, it was missing screws and the remote. I was able to buy screws at the hardware store to install it. However I still NEED a remote.

Nice unit; little things are annoying

This A/C unit dies a great job, and its quiet - no rattles or squeaks. I would give it 5 stars if (A) the remote was backlit (have to illuminate it with a phone to see it at night), and (B) when powered off it defaults to the lowest power consuming settings, so we have to change the settings every time we use it. Wish I could change that.

Bought 2 of these. The remote on 1 is defective. I know this is a fact since the good remote will work on both while the defective one will not work on either. Spoke to people at Frigidaire and at Best Buy (on-line) and was told the only way I could replace the defective one was to send the whole unit back w/the remote. I paid someone to install it and that means I would have to pay to have it uninstalled, pack it up, take it to the post office, pay the postage and when the replacement comes, pay again to reinstall it. Rediculous!!! Can't understand why I can't just send you the defective remote and have you send me back a replacement! Am very disappointed in Frigidaire!

Just bought this Frigidaire AC in November 2019 as a replacement for my old Kenmore AC which was over 10 years old. My new ac is so quiet and cools down my bedroom quickly . Easy to install through my existing wall, very light and mange to install it myself . It™€™s quiet inside and very quiet outside for a window ac. Unit blows stronger from right side of vent then left (very weak) and also has at times automatically switched to "Eco" mode while running in "cool" mode. Support suggested returning it to the store for another but i haven't the time or desire to lug it back to Best Buy, so i will live with it. The good news is it does run quietly.

We bought this unit after moving into an apartment that did not have air. Because is was so small, we thought that it would only be able to cool the bedroom we put it in. But, we found that when we left the door open to the rest of the apartment, it did a good job of cooling the other rooms as well. It is quiet, easy to use, has a variety of settings all on a romote, even reminds you when to clean its filter. This unit is much better than we expected a small window air conditioner would be. We are impressed.

I thought I would be able to get through this New England summer of 2019 with the dehumidifier (also Frigidaire) that I had already purchased and a window exhaust fan. This was not going to be the case. I realized that with the indoor temperature of my apartment being in the 80s at night, just to get to sleep I needed to do something. So, I purchased this small window unit, and it has served its purpose very well. It's easy to install (mostly), and very easy to operate. It may be a bit small for my apartment, but I would prefer a bit small to overkill in this respect. If you need an air conditioner to take the edge off of hot summer days and nights, I highly recommend this product.

I bought two units ahead of an expected heat wave where it was going to feel over 100 multiple days.I was a bit shocked to find that the remote was showing my room temp to be 95F. It cooled things down in no time. The screws for the shutters were not easy to align and screw in. The top bar they slid into was slightly bent at the end out of the box which I straightened with some pliers.

I purchased 4 of these air conditioners of various sizes two months ago. I live in a 16x80 moibile home in Alabama. My central unit had played out and to replace it was going to be $6000. For all four units that i purchased, the cost was less than $1100. The first full month that was comparable to last year was june. That electric bill was $75 cheaper than last years. July's was even better. I'[m very pleased with these air conditioners. And also I've went from a indoor temperature of 78 degrees to a indoor temp of 74 so my children and I are very much cooler also. You always hear how efficient these central units are and i'm sure the actual unit is but there are more things to take into account than just the unit itself. When you have seperate units for each room, you don't have to cool a room thats not being used for a day. Also in older mobile homes, i'm sure there is a certain amount of leakage in those old vents that the central unit uses also.

I bought the air-conditioner a month ago and it has been working great! Would recommend it. I would advise Frididaire to clearly specify that one has to push slightly on the air panel so that you can have it direct upwards. I only found out about this when I went on a review site from the store where I bought it. The older model you could easily direct upwards. Manual was not so clear about this feature.

Boy, this air conditioner cools the house along with an older "View Saver" Frigidaire 6000 BTU in our bedroom along with two tower fans for circulation. The older Frigidaire doesn't cool as well as the newer one which I have to between 72-74 degrees: anything lower, is just bone chilling - brrrrr!

How does this work?

2 things:-How does the Eco function work? The Manuel says nothing about it. - Is there a way to have the AC run until it hits the desired temp. And then once the temp is reach, it stops running. Like the whole unit, not just the compressor. Then when it gets hot again it starts up? Don™€™t like having the compressed and/or fan run all night.
