I bought this air conditioner for my small bedroom for the simple fact that it feels like a sauna in the summertime. Well not anymore, as long as you have blackout curtains it will keep the room cool throughout the summer daytime heat. And also night time.

Bought this to compliment a 10,000 BTU window unit in the other bedroom just before a heat wave hit. After a few weeks, it seems to be sufficient to keep the room around 15-20° cooler than the outside temp.

We bought this unit from Amazon in May, installed it in June. It worked fine for 4 weeks then first began cycling on and off non-stop but now only makes a loud, vibrating buzzing noise when either hi/lo cool is turned on. Lesson learned, do not buy an AC online....boxing it and returning it is not an option.

Having purchased this air conditioner I was not only surprised, but pleased, at how well it was able to cool off my upstairs office. Granted, the room is but 12 x 15 in size, but by positioning the air conditioner in a window that never his hit with the sun, it was able to cool off the entire room in less than 40 minutes (using the low cool fan speed) and keep it cool. I even had to turn it down from 6 to approximately 4 3/4 (highest setting is 7) and the room maintained a great comfort level.

I purchased 2 of these window units for under $400. The 1st week they cranked, but I noticed that the cool output has weakened a little bit since then, as well as the dehumidification. But overall, for the price:performance, I would purchase 2 new ones each year!

I am very happy with the unit. We use it in the back bedroom so we can keep the central air off as much as possible. It cools the room so good that we have to open the room door to let some of the cold air out. We keep the room door open at night because it gets too cold with the door shut. Really saves money from running the main air all the time.
