After 2 and 1/2 years of not a lot of use it blew, when I called the service people they said that "these microwaves are known for doing this" I've tried to contact Frigidaire to no avail. So now I will be reaching out to our local news affiliates who do investigative stories on bad products and companies, and this email will be given to them along all the BBB complaints and other similar reviews.

Our microwave started popping fuses at only 18 months old. A week after, it blew the fuse breaking or more like blowing it in pieces and you could smell the wiring. Very disappointed in the product line. The stove died within months and the fridges light has never worked and the plastic on the shelf broke. We have our house listed to sale and this is very inconvenient, to say the least.

I bought this Frigidaire gallery 1000 W microwave 5 years ago and it started popping it™™s fuse in the garage, come to find out the magnetron has gone bad and repair costs exceeds the price of the unit. I think a top of the line unit should last more than 5 years as my previous GE lasted for 12 years.

This microwave heats food so much quicker and evenly than our old one did. I love the soften ice cream feature. It really does soften it without melting it. Great microwave for the price.

Fan is extremely noisy, have lived with it for the last 3years since new. Last Sunday wife was melting butter and opened the door while in operation and microwave lost all power, electrical circuit to unit is ok. Looking to replace unit and came to the Frigidaire web site to research comparable microwave. After reading reviews of Frigidaire microwaves, sounds as if there is a recurrent problem in that area, rethinking manufactures. Believe life span should be longer than 3 years.

This is NOT how a Fridgidaire unit should work! Loud buzzing sound and now bad turntable thumping. Medical issues/food issues in household so we can not be without so had to immediately replace. YES we did get another Fridgidaire unit but will pursue assistance as this spotless unit only used by 2 retirees should last way more than 2 years. I have photos and video but having trouble downloading. Will be in touch with Customer Service as it took $100 to diagnose that a repair would cost more than replacement. Also installation cost $150 cause they need 2 men because it is over the range. So disappointed on these unexpected expenses!!!

We initially purchased this unit on November 13 at our local Lowe™™s, after reviewing the very favorable ratings. It was purchased to match our slide-in Gallery range with air fryer. All was well after installation, but the following day, the fan made a terrible vibrating noise during operation. We returned the oven that day and got a replacement of the same model. All was well initially, but 4 days later, the exhaust fan made a vibrating, buzzing sound while running. Obviously, it will have to be returned. Between two homes, we have a number of Frigidaire appliances, including 2 refrigerators, washer/dryer, induction cooktop and built in oven. Over many years, we have not had problems with any of them. Please respond as to your loyal customers.

The microwave works good though I don't know why in the 5-6 minute range it stops cooking for the last 15 seconds. The stainless steel looking door handle has been bubbling a starting to peel off. I checked and it's like $70 for a new handle. I would think twice about the quality of it's product.

The microwave was installed brand new with the house in 2018 and is below normal usage since moving in. The breaker continues to trip in the garage every time the door is opened while it is running. Same issues that have been noted by many others in these reviews. Sounds like a defect to me. Told it is out of warranty and nothing can be done. I have reasonable expectations that an over the stove top microwave should last much longer than four years.

Frigidaire Gallery Microwave stainless door looks cloudy, and the thin plastic coating is peeling in places. It still works so is not ready for a landfill yet. Is there anything I can use (car wax or polish) to fix this? Possibly even remove it completely (by sanding or with a cleaner) since there is a two inch area where the thin coating is completely gone and it looks fine - nice and shiny. I hate to replace when it still works, it will be in the landfill soon enough. Thank you

I purchased my home at the start of 2019 with new appliances all of them Frigidaire. The microwave refrigerator and dishwasher. Let™™s start with the microwave. I understand from one of the associates about a year ago that the door of the microwave will short out if it is opened while the microwave is still running. When the doors opened while running it would blow a fuse. So we had to go out to the garage reset the microwave it would work until the door was opened again by accident while running. Now the microwave is dead. And I™™ve had it less than two years. I™™m used to a microwave lasting at least 5 to 10 years. The next appliance is the refrigerator. After about six months of living in the home dark marks on the stainless steel, brown, were starting to surface on the stainless steel. The main issue now is that the seal on the freezer is not as tight as it was when we first purchased the home. No, the freezer isn™™t over packed. I understand it™™s the magnets that need to be replaced. As for the dishwasher it™™s still running, we™™ll see.

Pretty upset that the microwave has stopped working after only 3 years and minimal use. The microwave constantly tripped the breaker after about 2 years, I eventually replaced a blown fuse in the microwave but when I powered it up again, there was a burning smell coming from it. Fair to say I turned it off immediately so I didn't burn the house down. Now looking for replacement from a company that offers a warranty on their products.

What's the normal lifespan of these microwave's? We've had ours 3 years and all of a sudden it's started making a popping noise and I can see a red light behind the numbers like it's catching on fire.

Love how this microwave looks with the rest of the kitchen. I was worried that it would look big and take up a lot of wall space, but it blends in perfectly. It is user friendly and I am very happy with everything we have cooked in it. Great buy!

My microwave is ONLY 2 YEARS old and kept tripping the circuit breaker and Now it WONT turn on at all!! I dont understand... this seems to be a common problem reading these reviews.. when I called customer service they told me there was nothing they can do becasue the warranty expired.. BUT if your product STOPPED working after 2 years.. that should Not fall on the hands of the consumer.. we purchase your product thinking you should stand behind it.... I am completely speechless especially since they are not cheap!!

Loved it while it worked but I've had it less than 2 years and it no longer works. Quite a shame for how expensive it is. Randomly started tripping a breaker every time. My home is also less than 2 years old and has a dedicated breaker for the microwave. Tried plugging it into a different breaker and now it won't come on at all. My dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and microwave are all frigidaire but I guess I'll switch to a different brand now; what a shame.

We bought this appliance last month to replace the kitchen appliances we lost when lightning struck our home. The new microwave really enhances my kitchen. Its smooth, shiny black and silver surfaces are such an improvement from the older model that was mounted over my electric range. It's so efficient I've had to make sure I read food package instructions so I don't over cook things. It matches the new range perfectly, too.

This microwave replaced an 8 year old Samsung 1600w that was problematic. Only real issue is this is just a 1000w microwave, so heating/cooking takes more time. Most $300-500 microwaves are only 1000w.

Manufacture defect with fuse. Check online reviews. This model is subject to fuse failure after two years. Many consumers of this product has filed the same compliant. Do not purchase this model until manufacture resolves fuse issue.

Needed a microwave where the door opened flush against the wall. This seemed to be the only one I could find. Microwave works just fine, however the triple beep over and over is terribly annoying. Could have had a better notification somehow. And can't change the LED lights to another color, don't like the blue lights, prefer a warmer color and it's not possible to change. Honestly wouldn't have kept it if I could find another that fit with the door next to the wall.
